What are content leveled readers?

The Content Leveled Readers are alternate versions of the chapter narrative found in the Scott Foresman Science Student Editions. Written specifically to ensure multiple comprehension needs, the readers contain the same core content as the Student Edition but in a leveled fashion to meet students where they are developmentally. The options include:

Below Level teaches the same content and standards as the Student Edition, but at a grade level lower.

On-Level teaches the same concepts and standards as the Student Edition through additional examples and written slightly below grade level.

Advanced expands on the content taught in the Student Edition to offer enrichment for advanced students and written above grade level.
